Global Travel leads to Global Thinking.
Colin came to America from Europe as a child which meant he quickly learned to adapt and understand two different cultures from an early age. As he grew older, Colin developed a passion for world history and sought to understand diverse cultures and different points of views. This passion has taken Colin to some amazing places. He has navigated the frenetic streets of Hong Kong, strategized his way through the mountains of South America and successfully negotiated with the various cultures of the Balkans. What do navigating a trip from Chile to Argentina by local buses through the Andes and practicing internet intellectual property law have in common? A lot. Understanding today’s legal issues takes a global perspective. Adapting to an ever changing landscape requires flexibility. Creative problem solving and adaptability is part of our DNA. Counterfeits of your products are no longer sold out of the back of trucks. They are sold online, in places you may never have heard of, by sophisticated websites that look just like yours. We help our clients understand both the legal and business issues involved and advise on strategic solutions.
Why let someone else reap your rewards?
Colin has investigated diverse trademark infringement cases involving a variety of major financial services institutions and Fortune 500 companies. He has a particular expertise in the policing of cybersquatting activities on behalf of clients both large and small. He is highly adept at analyzing the cost to your business of the infringement or brand dilution, as well as proposing alternative resolution solutions that do not always include litigation. Partridge IP Law wrote the book on Alternative Dispute Resolution, or at least Mark Partridge did. How can you solve your problem in the most cost-efficient manner and get back to doing what you do best — running your business? This is the question that Colin will help you answer. Colin has over 10 years of experience protecting and enforcing internet rules and protocols. Partridge IP Law has been involved in hundreds of domain name disputes and Colin has worked closely with the World Intellectual Property Organization.
Innovators Innovate.
Lawyers worry about the details. Are you an innovator in your industry with products or services that need to be launched NOW? Perhaps like the major software engineering firm who hired Colin to issue dozens of clearance opinion letters in time for an international conference? After introducing your new products to 20,000 people, including the press, would you like to then tell them you made a mistake since someone else was already using the catchy name your marketing people came up with? If your software engineers and marketing gurus can come up with new products and names faster than you as in-house lawyer can keep up with, we are there to help. Our size and flexibility allow us to mobilize immediately to handle sensitive rush to market situations. Our expertise in these matters not only saves you time, but more importantly saves you money.
